Nursery Class

A Week in Nursery
We planted some seeds in order to watch them grow. We read the book ‘Jaspers beanstalk’ and are waiting to see whether our beanstalks grow like his did.

During our physical development lesson, we took our big blow-up cube outside to play with and we had lots fun chasing it and had to consider our friends space whilst we were all using the same equipment.

n2

Kay from Sure Start came to see us and allowed us to try some breakfast foods such as toast, fruit juice and cereal. Flip the Teddy came along with us and he had a great time together.

Our Prayer Mat Display
During Eid, Nursery made their own prayer mats. Before making them, we looked very carefully at a real prayer mat that Mrs Hussain kindly bought us.

We had lots of fun and even used the prayer mat to role play salat (praying). # Posted by Amy Owen at 22/11/05; 4:28:07 PM to the Nursery Class dept.

It Is Hard Working Playing Mum
Wow! If you want to know just how hard mums and dads have to work then speak to the children in nursery. In their exciting role play area they have been doing all the things mums and dads do every day. Ironing or cooking is not a problem for these children.

Small Children Enjoying Their Small World
Nursery has been enjoying all their ‘small world’ work. They have been learning to develop their language through role-play.

They have been pretending to work on a construction site and experiencing what it is like to play with sand.

They really enjoy their ‘small world’ and it looks as though even the staff have fun too.
