Fitness Friday
Friday 14th October
Fitness Friday was an excellent day at school with all children taking part in fitness events and lessons about health awareness.
Neptune class did a group aerobics lesson to the 'crazy frog' song; everyone was in the groove even the teachers. We will have great fun when we watch the video clips of that.
Saturn class also enjoyed the music from the 'crazy frog'. They did lots of individual dances.
Mars class danced to music of a different nature. Country dancing which was enjoyed by the whole class especially the demonstration dancing from Mr. Truby and Mrs Sparrock.
Jupiter class and Venus class both enjoyed lots of skipping activities.
Foundation stage and nursery were very lucky as they enjoyed lots of exercise. They did some racing and some aerobic games lead by Miss Maiden, Miss Owen and Mrs Highfield.
Classroom activities included healthy eating awareness with key stage two designing posters and also awareness of milk and its healthy benefits.
Key stage one also enjoyed making smoothies using milks and fresh fruit. They had plenty of exotic fruits to try as well.
All of the children enjoyed the day and now know lots of facts about how to stay healthy throughout their lives.
