Croft Community Primary School 1 - St. Marys 3.

It was a fantastic game and closer then the score seems. St. Mary's took the lead with a great corner and the score stayed at 1-0 till half time.

Straight away from the kick off Croft started to have some good pressure and equalised through Farhans goal from a long throw.

The goalkeeper for Croft made some great saves, before conceding two late goals.

Better luck next week Croft.

Clubs Galore at Croft.
Wow - it has certainly been a busy time at Croft. Not only have all the children at Croft been working very hard in their lessons but they have also been taking advantage of all the great clubs that are now available to them.

There are before school clubs, lunchtime clubs and even after school clubs.

The board game club is run on a Monday Lunchtime by Mrs Hussain, it takes place in Neptune class. There are lots of board games the chidlren can play including Guess Who.

On Tuesday lunchtime there is a computer games club. The children get chance to play lots of different educational games on the internet. They choose games from www.primarygames.co.uk and www.counton.org. They have great fun especially when they have a challenge the teacher competition playing sliders.

On a Thursday lunchtime the children get chance to handle the k'nex kit in school. The k'nex club is very popular and some of the models that have been made are on display in Neptune class.

On a Friday lunchtime the children all join in with choir club with Miss Owen. The singing has improved considerably and they really enjoy meeting to sing now.

Before school each morning the children have a chance to come into the school and use the computers to help them with their school work, improve on their SATS results and to complete their homework. We have lots of children coming in everyday, but there is still room for others to come to the club. Just turn up at 08:15 - 08:55, learning really can be fun when using a computer.

On Wednesdays after school Mr. Prosser takes a football training session, at the moment there are over 25 children in the school practicing their football skills. It is not only for boys, just ask the 12 girls that turn up every week. It is a great way to burn off some energy after school and it is only 50p a session. Starting at 3:15 and finishing at 4:00. You must ask an adult to pick you up when the session has finished.

Photographs will be added soon - so do not worry # Posted by Mr. Prosser at 28/3/06; 1:22:01 PM to the Notices Clubs dept.
