Mr. Bean Inspires Croft

For all his faults Mr. Bean has really inspired the children at Croft this week. THe work has been excellent and the quality has really impressed the staff doing the Easter school. Well done everyone.

Who is Mr. Bean?

A great place to start Who is Mr.

Bean?

We wtached part of the film and looked at his characteristics. There were some great sentences, my favourite being

"Mr Bean is almost as funny as Mr. Prosser".

I think thats means I am really funny, but the other staff have informed me in fact it means I clumsier, sillier and a big fool. Great! I think I will listen to the children's opinons.

Here is a piece of work from Saddaf.

What's Bean Going on at Croft this Easter?
Easter School is back this year. 20 pupils, 5 members of staff and the whole project is based on Mr. Bean. It's going to be great fun. The whole project is being done on computers and includes writing drama and the grand finale will be the pupils producing their own Mr. Bean sketches which should include some great. I wonder what trouble Mr. Bean could get into around the school grounds. Keep your eye out on the website where I will be sharing some of the great stuff we are doing. Also in the afternoons the children will be doing some art work. Again I will put pictures of the best pieces of work on the website. .. # Posted by Mr. Prosser at 31/3/08; 12:11:29 PM to the After School Clubs dept.

Easter Lessons - Day 2

Today all the children were looking at a magic bike. The we split into 2 groups.

day 2

The first group wrote some instructions about the magic bike. There are some great instructions, I would love to ride a bike like that.

day 2

The other group of children wrote a story with the magic bike in it. There were some fantastic stories.

The end of another day of the Easter classes and the children are still looking forward to another two days.

World Book Day - Children Dress as Their Favourite Book Characters.

Most of the children at Croft have dressed up today as their book characters. All the children have recieved a book as a prize for their efforts. Here are some of the best efforts in the school.

                                  book day

There were loads of spidermans in school today, I think Asda must have sold out of costumes. Playtime was great to see them all weaving their webs.

The dragon king was in Neptune class - all masked up with a little dagger. I am sure he is a character out Doctor Who would like to have a word with.

We also got a cowgirl with her cowboy hat and a princess. I hope the princess has not been captured by the cowgirl.

Next we Aladin and a very smart looking Captain Hook. I wonder whether Hook wants to steal Aladin's lamp?

Wow it is Mr. Incredible - looks like the school will be safe in his hands. What big muscles you got Mr. Incredible. Also we have a selection of children from Saturn class - We have count Dracula, next to Little Red Riding Hood. Poor little Red Riding Hood, she thought she only had the wolf to worry about. We also have a Knight stood next to a wonderful fairy.

In Mars class we have a wizard , spiderman, count Dracula and Cinderella. Some fantatsic book characters there, well done. Also Pluto class made a superb effort in getting dressed up, they were the best dressed class in the school. Can you spot the characters in the picture? Bob the builder and one of the might power rangers, what a team.

Nursery class the youngest children in the school also looked superb in their clothes. Spiderman and a couple of angles.

The final two pictures are from Venus and jupiter class.

Some fantatsic costumes well done to all the children who got dressed up. Also a big thank you to Mr. Spicer who organised the day.
