About

Croft Community Primary School is situated in the urban area of Walsall and is a one form entry school with over 85% of its pupils families originating from the Mirpur region of Pakistan. It is a community school developing partnership with Croft Street Community Association, which offers Playgroup facilities, IT suite, Youth Club, Sewing and ESOL classes.

The School is built on a split-level site accommodating 7 classes and a Nursery. There are two large playgrounds, for Junior/Infants and Nursery to enjoy. There is a library area and a hall, which is used by all children for assemblies, PE and dinners. The School has kitchen facilities and meals are prepared on the premises.

Croft Community Primary School believes in the importance of providing a caring, stimulating and structured environment, within which children will be encouraged to develop relevant skills, concepts and knowledge. Building upon the child’s existing cultural, social and educational experience, the school seeks to ensure that each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The school seeks to develop in each child a sense of responsibility and self discipline, an ability to co-operate with and relate to adult and other children, the ability to work independently with self motivation, a sense of positive self-esteem, physical skills and a range of academic skills and knowledge. These elements should be relevant to the child’s existing needs as well as preparing him/her for adult life. An important aspect of this is the ability to live and work successfully within a multi-cultured society and to value and contribute to the communities of which they are a part. Croft Community Primary School supports the Walsall Education’s equal opportunities statement.

The aim of Croft Community Primary School is to provide a safe, structured and enjoyable environment, which promotes the personal, physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and cultural development of its children through fostering close links with the parents/community.
It will attempt to do this by using all the resources available, to provide a balanced, relevant and interesting programme of study appropriate to each pupil and a range of experiences to promote individual responsibility and independence. Furthermore we will provide the guidance and support necessary to prepare each pupil for their secondary education.
